Sunnyside Farms in Clyde Park, Montana is looking for seasonal interns from  May 1 – Oct 31 with the opportunity to stay on through the winter.

We are small Norwegian Fjord Horse breeding farm with a busy summer season of foaling, breeding, training, exercising and using our horses to provide behavioral health for people of all ages.  Great opportunity for someone entering the field of equine-assisted therapy, psychology, equine breeding/management, pre-veterinary or farm-life skills.  

Interns should be willing to:

  • Exert physical energy;
  • AM/PM feeding, manure clean up;
  • Work varied hours;
  • Manage sick horses; 
  • Get down and dirty;
  • Groom, lead, tie;
  • Handle stallions;
  • Handle foals;
  • Clean stalls and paddocs twice daily;
  • Lift heavy feed bags;
  • Learn new horsemanship and farm management skills;
  • Forego drinking, smoking or drug use;
  • Provide a resume;
  • Provide references; and
  • Provide a background check.
  • Some additional tasks may include:
  • Program Leadership
  • Garden/grounds assistance (water/mowing);
  • Mowing and trimming; and 
  • Special event participation.
  • Must have an outside source of income during internship.
