The Horticultural and Natural Areas Supervisor is responsible for the development and maintenance of District horticulture programs, landscaping, natural areas, and sign projects.

Salary Range
* Salary range is between $42,224 to $68,286 depending on experience

* Typical work week is Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
* Work week hours may vary according to weather or seasonal demand
* Must be able to work weekends as needed
* Willing to work 40+ hours as needed

* Associate's Degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred, in Horticulture Science or related field
* Five years supervisory experience
* Five years' experience in one of the following skills: Nursery management, horticultural design and construction, turf management, weed and disease control identification and diagnosis, and horticulture or related experiences
* Ability to work from detailed blueprints, sketches, and schematics
* Valid Illinois pesticide Applicator's License or the ability to receive one within one year of start date

* Organize, promote, and lead the CPD Community Flower Island Program
* Recruit and act as the liaison to area businesses, not-for-profit, and governmental agencies fro the CPD Community Flower Island and Park Flowers Programs
* Hire, supervise, train, and evaluate staff
* Maintain detailed reports and records on work performed
