The Harvest Manager is responsible for developing and operating harvest operations in a manner that is economically successful, strategically oriented, and technically innovative while living the Company’s mission and values. The Harvest Manager oversees harvest crew management, harvest plans, harvest operations to include profit and loss.


Harvest Crew Management

  • Manage and coordinate, with hands-on involvement, all planting and harvesting activities.
  • Deliver on expected outcomes such as yield and quality.
  • Identify, source, hire, develop and manage crews.
  • Ensure proper training and manage performance.
  • Develop Crew Leaders and Punchers for succession planning.

Harvest Practices

  • Learn and implement the latest and best current production and harvest practices from within the organization, as well as from university and other outside industry resources.
  • Develop and advance knowledge and innovations that deliver competitive advantage.

Harvest Operations

  • Develop and manage operating budgets.
  • Assess capital budget needs.
  • Manage costs.
  • Deliver expected profitability.
  • Submit production data, and any required/requested information.
  • Participate in weekly and monthly crop statement reviews.
  • Communicate with Driscolls to ensure accurate harvest estimates and on-time delivery of high-quality products to the cooler.

Compliance and Safety

  • Ensure compliance with all labor laws, prime audits or food safety, company policy and worker safety.
  • Maintain a well-organized, clean and safe work environment.Other duties as assigned. 


  • Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred
  • Hands-on planting and harvest activities
  • Ability to develop and manage personnel per the Company mission and values
  • Demonstrative Innovative and out of the box thinking
  • Strong operational administration
  • Understanding of agricultural financial measurements
  • Self-starter; ability to work independently as well as with growers, team members and management
  • Detail oriented, with effective verbal, writing and presentation skills


  • Bachelor’s degree in an agriculture or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in production agriculture
  • Direct berry harvest crew management experience preferred


  • Ability to travel 20 percent of the time – domestic
