Private Farm

Carmel Valley Village, California

Deadline Dec 05, 2021
Job Type Full Time

We are a small private and diverse farm located on the east side of the Carmel Valley Village in Monterey County looking for a hardworking, self-motivated, experienced, long term farm crew member to join our team.  On our farm we grow over 200 varieties of vegetables, microgreens, mushrooms, olives, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, grapes, kiwi, citrus, pome fruit, stone fruit, and lots of flowers.  We also have an extensive kitchen preservation program where we typically have over 50 varieties of product on the shelf at any time throughout the year made from our excess produce.  Our soil fertility program consists of regenerative and organic practices which include making our own biochar, managing our vermicompost bins, brewing compost tea, and good old fashioned compost windrows.  We also have sheep, horses, cows, alpacas, chickens, bees, and quail that we integrate into our land management and fertility practices.  We grow our small vegetables in the traditional “market garden” 30 inch bed layout and some of our larger vegetables are grown in alleys amongst our perennial food forest.
