Mas Ass Acres Sanctuary is a donkey and mule sanctuary in Washington State on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula.

We are looking for a full-time, long-term, mature Caretaking/Working couple with a passion for animals and 3-5 years of donkey, mule and/or horse experience/knowledge.  Currently, we have 10 donkeys, all sizes, and 5 mules.  Most are geriatric and take medication and need special attention, especially hoof care.

Additional duties and responsibilities to include, but not limited to: Twenty-four hour security, and maintenance of property, mowing grounds, clearing fallen trees, pasture management, fence repair, barns/buildings repair and operation and maintenance of farm equipment.

As in all farm jobs, this is not a normal 8:00-5:00 job, it is a lifestyle.  With all animal jobs, the unexpected always happens and more time is often required.  Our main priority is the welfare and loving care of the animals.  Daily duties: feeding, medicating, cleaning, doctoring, grooming/clipping, hoof care, worming, vaccinating, keeping track of hay, feed and supplies, maintaining health records, and attending farrier and vet appointments.   Additional beneficial skills: vet tech or vet assistant, accounting, carpentry, mechanic skills, welding, landscaping and yard maintenance.  Must be able to lift minimum of 75 lbs.
