Position: Teacher, High School Lead Agriculture/Barn Manager
Campus: La Porte High School
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
- Valid Texas Teacher's Certificate
- Alternative Certification Program applicants must have passed content exam(s) to be eligible for employment
- Experience as an Agricultural Teacher required
- Experience in Agriculture Mechanics required
- Experience in campus leadership duties preferred
Salary:
- $74,118 for Beginning teacher with "0" years experience (based on 2025-2026 Compensation Plan)
- $5,250 Lead Agriculture Teacher stipend
- $1,000 Master's Degree addenda
- Additional $1,000 Doctorate Degree addenda
Pay Grade: Certified Instructional, 12 Duty Months - 220 Days

The District contributes $400/month to the cost of employee only health insurance, which is $175/month greater than the state required amount of $225/month.

- Posture: Prolonged standing; frequent kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
- Motion: Frequent walking
- Lifting: Frequent light lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling (less than 15 pounds); occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling (up to 50 pounds)
- Environment: Work inside and outside, regular exposure to noise and the elements; exposure to extreme temperatures and biological/chemical hazards; exposure to machinery with moving parts
