Primary Objectives of the Position:
The primary function of this position is to assist with crop protection products activities and
maintenance, help with inventory management and product distribution in an efficient manner, and
provide a high level of customer service. Potential to lead into full-time role if right fit.
Major Areas of Accountability:
• Assist with loading/unloading of chemicals and liquid fertilizer products
• Maintain chemical warehouses and all warehouse equipment
• Help maintain all chemical inventories using proper procurement procedures
• Make delivery tickets in the AgVantage and Kahler systems
• Assist with invoicing in AgVantage if needed
• Utilize available storage space as efficiently as possible
• Maintain the condition and quality of chemical products
• Assist customers with pick up of chemicals, and liquid fertilizer products
• Be willing to help with delivery of all agronomy products
• Perform intercompany chemical, and liquid fertilizer transfers
• Communicate effectively with agronomy department staff to ensure adequate inventory is
available for prompt service and delivery
• Help answer the chemical warehouse phone
• Work with agronomy department staff to resolve customer issues
• Complete all related paperwork in a timely manner
• Know and follow all company safety policies/procedures. Perform work in a safe manner
while observing all traffic laws and all OSHA state and federal safety regulations
• Comply with all federal and state Department of Transportation regulations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on moving equipment operated. Report all
maintenance items to supervisor
• Represent yourself and the cooperative professionally at all times in action and appearance
• Develop and maintain positive work relationships with the agronomy team having a positive
attitude that promotes teamwork within the cooperative
• Perform other duties as requested by supervisor or management
Basic Qualifications:
• High school diploma
• Must have a valid Class D driver’s license and be an insurable driver in accordance with
property and casualty insurance guidelines. A Class A CDL is a plus but not required.
• Ability to operate blending equipment, loaders, conveyors, tractors and semi’s
• Have availability to work extended hours during peak seasons
• Possess computer and data entry skills
• Must be able to follow directions and effectively communicate with others
• Must have strong time management and leadership skill.
• Agriculture background preferred but not required
Other:
• Have the ability to lift up to 65lbs.; climb ladders and/or rail cars, stairs, and bins at extended
heights; withstand extended periods of walking and standing
• May also be required to work in confined spaces
• Operational areas result in exposure to a variety of temperatures and prevailing weather
conditions. This may also result in exposure to dust, odors, gases, vapors, wet or slick
surfaces and loud noises. Where appropriate, wears personal protective equipment (PPE) in
compliance with Company standards and governmental regulations
