Position Type: Intermittent, Part-Time

Position Summary:

The Farm Coordinator 1 supports agricultural research and farm operations at the OSU Ashtabula Agricultural Research Station. This role involves assisting with data sample collection, crop harvesting, equipment operation, and general farm maintenance. The position requires flexibility to work according to crop, soil, and weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with data sample collection for agricultural research projects
  • Support vineyard and orchard harvest activities
  • Sort, count, weigh crop samples, and record measurements
  • Assist with planting, pruning, and fruit processing operations
  • Summarize and enter research data accurately
  • Operate tractors and other farm machinery
  • Maintain facilities, grounds, and equipment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
  • 0 years of relevant experience required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 0–2 years of experience in agricultural or farm operations
Work Schedule:

Intermittent and flexible, based on seasonal and weather-related needs.
