Minuteman High School is seeking a qualified CTE Pathway Lead Teacher - Agriculture, Environmental and Life Sciences for the 2026–2027 school year. Agriculture, Environmental and Veterinary Sciences includes Teachers and Technical Assistants in Horticulture, Environmental Science, Animal Science and Biotechnology. This position supports the successful delivery of curriculum and instructional services for the Career Pathway Majors through effective leadership, coordination and innovation. Foster a workplace culture of professionalism and continuous improvement. Oversee cluster Career Majors for effective day-to-day operations. Act as liaison between the Director of Career and Technical Education and program instructors. Collaborates with all career and technical education department program teachers. This is a stipend position, with responsibilities and compensation detailed below. Major Responsibilities:

  • Publish a calendar and agendas and conduct regularly scheduled department meetings in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Submit appropriate documentation of attendance, meeting notes, and reflections.
  • Implement information pertinent to reports including the most recent NEASC, EQA and CPR findings and participate in the implementation of strategic planning to address findings as indicated.
  • Participate in the design and oversee the implementation of effective formative and summative assessment practices including, but not limited to the Certificate of Occupational Proficiency.
  • Prepare annual reports as directed on student achievement and curriculum delivery.
  • Participate actively as a member of the Lead Team and attend meetings after school and occasional evenings as called by administration.
  • Manage Career Pathway Major budgets in accord with district business office procedures.
  • Participate in the screening, interviewing and recommendation of prospective teaching candidates.
  • Attend pertinent and approved conferences and workshops as approved by administration.
  • Oversee the effective use of technical assistants and substitute teachers within the department.
  • Maintain positive and cooperative relations with the Pathway Guidance Counselor, the 9th Grade Counselor, clusters, career majors, academic departments and support areas, including the Mentor Teacher Program.
  • Support and review the development and delivery of meaningful career exploratory experiences for students considering CTE as directed.
  • Assist teachers with attendance, and gradebooks.
  • Attend all open houses.
  • Meet and check-in with pathway teachers on an as needed basis.
  • Participation in Mentoring Program as required.
  • Will support communication efforts of the District.
  • Will assist the administrator responsible for the Coop Program.
  • Will be involved in Chapter 74 Program development and process.
  • Other duties as assigned by Administration.

Qualifications:

  • Professional Educator Licensure as approved by the State of Massachusetts.
  • Minimum three years’ teaching experience in a career major.
  • Strong content-area knowledge and experience as demonstrated through effective classroom teaching, curriculum development, and application of state frameworks in both academic areas and appropriate vocational areas.
  • Strong interpersonal, speaking, and writing skills.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Alternatives to the above as approved by the Superintendent.

Additional Requirements:

  • This position includes but is not limited to: interacting with the public, walking around the school, standing for periods, occasionally lifting and carrying items, reading documents, using a computer, listening and speaking, using office equipment, maintaining energy throughout the day, and handling stress effectively.

Terms of Employment:

  • Stipend Position.

Effective Dates of Employment:

  • This is a stipend position for the 2026-2027 school year (July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027).

Supervisor:

  • Director of Career and Technical Education.

Compensation:

  • The stipend for this position is $7,791.
