We have a position for a Farm Hand at a fast paced row crop farm. Specifically rice, soybeans, corn and cotton. We are seeking a motivated individual that enjoys a large variety of tasks and a balance of indoor and outdoor work environments. This is a full-time, year-round position with varied work hours, depending on the season. The job includes all aspects of farming, including planting, irrigation, harvest, equipment operation, equipment repair and more.

Job requirements

• Valid Driver’s license
• Capable of lifting 75lbs
• Ability to work independently or with co-workers
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with supervisors
• The employer provides training

Wage is Dependent on Experience. Housing is available, work pickup provided. 

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently for various farming tasks.
• Assist in planting, growing, and harvesting crops, ensuring optimal yield.
• Perform basic math calculations
• Maintain farm machinery by conducting regular inspections and repairs as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure all farm operations run smoothly and efficiently.
• Weld and repair equipment as necessary to keep operations running without interruption.

Experience

• Previous experience in farming or agricultural settings is mandatory.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus.
• Ability to work long hours outdoors in varying weather conditions is essential.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are crucial for success in this role.
