Position: Farmhand / Equipment Operator (Full-Time, Year-Round)

Job Summary
Reed Farms is seeking a dependable, hardworking individual to join our team as a full-time farmhand/equipment operator. This role involves operating and maintaining farm machinery, assisting with irrigation systems, and supporting all phases of crop production including planting and harvest. General farm labor and maintenance tasks are also required. Experience with welding, mechanical repair, and basic electrical work is highly valued.

Work Schedule & Expectations

• Full-time, year-round position
• Spring and fall are peak seasons requiring extended hours
• Must be willing to work long hours, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends as needed
• Winter schedule typically runs from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• Flexibility and reliability are essential during busy seasons

Key Responsibilities

• Operate tractors, trucks, and other farm equipment
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machinery
• Assist with irrigation setup, monitoring, and maintenance
• Support planting, cultivating, and harvesting operations
• Perform general farm labor and upkeep

Qualifications

• Prior agricultural experience preferred but not required
• Mechanical aptitude and equipment operation experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of irrigation systems is a plus
• Welding and electrical experience beneficial but not required
• Strong work ethic and willingness to perform physical labor
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team
