Silver Spur Farms is seeking an experienced Farm Manager to fill an immediate opening on our large-scale agricultural operation in West-Central Nebraska. This role is ideal for a motivated leader with strong business acumen and hands-on experience managing complex farming operations of 10,000+ acres.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of crop production, including corn, soybeans, potatoes, and additional crops introduced into the rotation
• Manage crop planning, rotations, spraying, fertilization, harvest, and storage
• Operate and manage center pivot irrigation systems, including automated remote monitoring and control
• Lead, train, and support farm staff; step into field operations as needed during peak seasons
• Maintain detailed records and utilize data-driven decision-making
• Manage input inventories and vendor relationships
• Oversee on-farm storage facilities, ensuring inventory accuracy and premium commodity condition
• Coordinate crop sales, marketing, trucking, and contracts from production through point of sale
• Work directly with end users to establish strong, long-term relationships
• Utilize computer tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for reporting and planning

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of leadership and business management experience in large-scale farming operations (10,000+ acres)
• Bachelor’s degree in an Ag-related field preferred, but not required
• Experience with precision farming technologies and modern farm machinery
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proven analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Willingness to work flexible hours and long days during peak seasons
