Small ranch in Southern AZ seeking someone to care for property and equines.  No riding involved. Part time position allowing someone to work remotely or offsite as long as you’re here to work at assigned days/times.  Couple or Single. Preference for someone with own RV or LQ trailer. We have full RV utility connections and 50 amp electric. If you have pets you’ll need your own housing. We are in an area where there are no rentals in the community. We may have housing with security deposit and possibility of space for one horse with understanding that you’d be responsible to feed/care/clean up after/repair damage done by/ your equine. Please understand if you do not have experience, you'd be a volunteer.  The owner has to work to pay someone, and having to be here to constantly work with someone means we can't work to pay you.

Requirements:

• Significant horse care experience in recent adulthood.
• Knowledge of equine first aid, ability to triage, give medications if necessary.
• Ability to do manual labor a few hours daily, outdoors. Sun, rain, cold – animals still need to be fed. Owner is happy to help but also has to work off-site to pay someone.
• You must be able to lift a bale of hay (100 lb) and bags of feed (80 lb) to load/unload as needed.
• Physical fitness is important.  Please be honest about abilities.
• Must be reliable and willing/able to follow through.
• Handyman skills are very helpful.  Some projects need doing.
• Clean driver’s license. Also need your own reliable, personal vehicle.
• Ability to safely operate a tractor.
• No smoking, recreational drugs or heavy alcohol use.
• Ability to work independently once trained.
• MUST BE A US citizen and able to pass a basic background check.

Location is beautiful mountains of Southern AZ.  It is cooler than Tucson, and we typically have lovely monsoon rains that cool things down nicely in summer.  We are near a lake, vineyards and National Forest. Pay depends upon experience, abilities, and what you'll be doing. Compensation is above average when considering whole package.
