JOB DESCRIPTION

The Agricultural Education Teacher is responsible for fostering a positive, engaging learning environment where students develop critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the habits necessary to become lifelong learners and productive citizens. The teacher implements and oversees the Career and Technical Education (CTE) program, advises and effectively manages the Grand County chapter of the National FFA Organization, and coordinates a comprehensive Summer Agricultural Program.

The teacher maintains a safe and supportive classroom environment; builds strong, professional relationships with students, parents, and colleagues; and motivates students to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to reach their full potential and successfully transition to higher levels of education and career pathways. Instruction is differentiated to meet diverse student needs and incorporates effective, research-based teaching strategies.
