Seeking an experienced Barn Manager / Rider for a small private hunter/jumper program based in Ocala, Florida. The program consists of approximately four horses and a full-time groom who assists with daily horse care.

The ideal candidate is a skilled, independent rider with strong horsemanship, organizational skills, and previous horse show experience. Responsibilities include riding, schooling, and conditioning horses, overseeing daily horse management, coordinating veterinary and farrier care, and managing competition preparation and schedules.

The candidate will take the lead on horse show operations, including schooling, warm-ups, coordination with trainers, and show setup and breakdown. There may also be opportunities to compete in the hunter divisions. Must be comfortable driving a truck and trailer and transporting horses to and from competitions.

Position Details:

• Full-time, 5–6 days per week, with up to 7 days during show weeks

• Approximately two weeks of horse showing per month

• Must have professional riding and horse show experience

• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills required

• Experience hauling horses preferred

• Competitive weekly compensation based on experience

• Housing is not provided
