Agronomy Manager

- Participate in the development and implementation of agronomy department goals, policies and strategies.
- Manage inventories and oversee the invoicing, accounting and physical condition of fertilizers, seed and crop protection products.
- Ensure all products and services meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure regulatory and licensing compliance in collaboration with the Director of Safety and Security.
- Work with the Safety Department to ensure all employees are properly trained and adhere to safety policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance Supervisor and Vice President to ensure agronomy facilities and equipment are maintained.
- Optimize staffing levels and conduct annual performance evaluations for direct reports.
- Support credit policy adherence and monitor receivables related to agronomy sales.
- Participate in customer and grower relations as a representative of the agronomy division.
- Coordinate and guide agronomy consultants in their sales efforts and agronomic recommendations.
- Analyze and adapt to various pricing scenarios with sound reasoning and flexibility.
- Assist in the development of agronomy consultants by participating in sales calls and providing in-field training and guidance.
- Allocate a portion of time – based on seasonal business needs – to conducting direct farm sales calls.
- Provide leadership, support and direction to agronomy staff reporting directly to the Agronomy Manager.
