Are you an undergraduate Sophomore or Junior student majoring in Agronomy or a related field? Do you have previous experience in agriculture, sales, research, or farming? If so, we want to hear from you!
We are looking for candidates who possess the following skills and qualifications:

- Knowledge in field crop production and agronomy

- Experience or confidence in operating basic agricultural equipment

Please note that this internship involves outside working conditions during part of the growing season and may include long hours in variable weather conditions. The noise level is moderate for the majority of the job responsibilities. During the planting and harvest season, the noise level at research test sites will be greater.
Key Responsibilities | The Wyffels Agronomy Intern will spend the summer working closely with our Product and Agronomy team. Under the supervision of a mentor, the Agronomy Intern responsibilities will include:
- Plan and implement agronomic experiments. Wyffels aims to provide high-quality, and useful agronomic information to our customers. Each year we design, plan, and implement agronomic experiments across our geography so we can bring unbiased, on-farm trial results to help our customers make better decisions.
- Maintain product and agronomy demonstration sites. Wyffels will have dedicated demonstration sites in Geneseo, IL, and Ames, IA that will be utilized for employee and seed representative training, customer tours, and brand awareness.
- Assist with agronomy training events. Wyffels Agronomy Team puts on many training events throughout our geography for Wyffels Seed Representatives and customers. The Agronomy Intern will assist with preparing and conducting the trainings, gaining great experience, and putting their agronomy knowledge on display.
- Participate in customer service calls alongside the Agronomy Manager. Wyffels Agronomy Team is called on to help our sales team and customers answer questions or diagnose issues in the field throughout the summer. These provide a great opportunity to observe and learn about diagnosing issues, interacting with customers, and demonstrating excellent customer service.
- Self-designed intern project. An opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge and passion for a specific part of the business, under the supervision of a mentor, the Agronomy Intern will design an intern project that they will conduct throughout the summer and present at the conclusion of their internship.
