What You’ll Do
As an Agricultural Sales Rep, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to farm owners and ag clients—helping them bring their facility visions to life. Your focus will be on building relationships, providing smart building solutions, and delivering unmatched service before, during, and after the sale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads and prospects
- Understand customer needs and recommend custom building solutions
- Collaborate with engineers, trade professionals, and design teams
- Provide building tours and participate in site evaluations
- Maintain communication with past and current customers for future opportunities
- Attend municipal meetings for land use approvals
- Accurately review estimates and contracts—owning up to and learning from any mistakes
- Assist with permit procurement and ensure compliance across project partners
- Attend and represent FCB at tradeshows, expos, and networking events
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and customer communications
What You Bring to the Table
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust quickly
- Excellent negotiation and sales skills, paired with a solution-oriented mindset
- Highly organized and detail-focused with strong follow-through
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software (e.g., Procore)
- Comfortable in fast-paced, high-stakes environments
- Willingness to travel and work in agricultural settings, including around farm animals and in varying weather conditions
Education & Experience
- Associate degree required in marketing, sales, business, ag science, or a related field (Bachelor’s preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in sales, construction, or the agricultural industry
- Dairy background or experience is a plus
- Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit at a computer and use a phone for extended periods
- Lift up to 15 pounds occasionally
- Comfortably walk on uneven terrain and in farm environments
- Willingness to work in variable weather conditions
