Adjunct Agricultural Sciences/Agribusiness Professor

Adjunct Professor: This position will have primary responsibility for instructing lecture and Lab classes in the subject of Agricultural Sciences (including but not limited to: Animal Science, Crop Science, Equine Science, Economics, Agribusiness, Conservation, and/or Entomology. This position works to ensure that students reach learning outcomes.
The salary for this position is $700/per credit hour.
Responsibilities:
- 75% Teaches no more than 9 credit hours per semester.
- 10% Works as a team member in the Sciences Department; complies with all faculty responsibilities as outlined in college policies and procedures.
- 10% Contributes to campus assessment process by measuring and reporting student learning outcomes as directed to meet THECB Core Objectives and SACSCOC requirements.
- 5% Performs other duties as assigned by the Dean, Associate Dean or Department Chair.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Agricultural Sciences from an accredited college or university.
- OR Associate’s Degree with 3 years experience in the field of Agricultural Sciences.
- Previous successful experience teaching in the area of Agricultural Science at the community college level or high school preferred; however, professional experience may be held as equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to engage students in the learning process and proven commitment to student success.
- Collegial attitude with college community as well as outside entities.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple assignments.
- Experience tracking student learning outcomes, analyzing resultant data, and implementing improvement plans.
- Excellent computer and multi-media skills.
