Muenster Independent School District Position: Agricultural Science Teacher / FFA Advisor

Reports to: Principal
Contract: 10-month with extended days
Start Date: 01/05/2026

Primary Purpose:

Muenster ISD is seeking a motivated and student-centered Agricultural Science Teacher to provide high-quality instruction in agricultural education and to lead an active, successful FFA chapter. The ideal candidate will inspire leadership, responsibility, and agricultural excellence among students while maintaining strong connections to the community’s agricultural traditions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

• Valid Texas teaching certificate in Agricultural Science and Technology (Grades 6–12) or eligible for certification

• CDL preferred or willingness to obtain

Responsibilities:

• Teach agricultural science courses aligned with TEKS and CTE program goals

• Serve as FFA Advisor, coordinating all LDE, CDE, and SAE activities

• Supervise and support students with livestock and project-based learning

• Maintain safe, organized classroom, shop, and agricultural facilities

• Build positive relationships with students, parents, and community partners

• Manage program budgets, fundraising, and FFA records

• Attend FFA contests, livestock shows, conventions, and related events

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Experience in agricultural mechanics, animal science, or plant science

• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills

• Commitment to student success, teamwork, and professionalism

Working Conditions:

Extended days, evenings, and weekends required for FFA and SAE activities. Some lifting and outdoor work expected.
