Position Summary:

Our Columbia Crest Winery, located in scenic Paterson, Washington, has an immediate opening for a Winetracker. The successful applicant will record and maintain all records for bulk winemaking processes and ensure in compliance with SMWE and government regulations.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain accurate, updated bulk wine records and ensure compliance with TTB regulations.
  • Enter cellar and barrel work orders, chemical additions, bottling and lab analysis on lot cards and the computer database.
  • Conduct month-end inventory and resolve discrepancies with accounting.
  • Update tank cards and tank listing.
  • Compile reports (daily, monthly) and inventory activity summaries.
  • Maintain empty barrel inventory and barrel distribution reports.
  • Provide general administrative support for the winemaking staff.
  • Operate scales as necessary.

Non-Essential Functions:

  • Filing of records
  • Ordering of supplies
  • Create reports for other departments when necessary
  • Travel to other locations to help with Winetracking when necessary

Working Conditions:

  • Office Environment – sitting and typing for long periods of time
  • Occasional and very limited exposure to loud noise

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit at a PC station for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work long (extended) hours during harvest (September- November)- average of 10-12 hour/ day, six day per week.


  • High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred.
  • Basic accounting and solid math skills.
  • Computer skills including MS Office, FoxPro experience is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • General understanding of the winemaking process.
  • Detail oriented and able to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Available to work overtime as necessary.
  • History of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies
