Ranch Hand/Manager

Compensation $45k per year (excluding housing benefit)

LONG TERM EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY.

Opening for a LONG TERM Ranch Hand/Manager position to take care of 240 acre ranch in Blanco TX (1hr from San Antonio, 1hr from Austin). Ranch has a newer, airconditioned, single wide mobile home (7yrs old) available for living quarters. Included with Job is work truck (for Ranch work only) & free housing (utilities included - minus satellite tv). Previous ranching experience preferred but not essential. Compensation: $45K per year. With free housing & utilities - unrealized compensation is closer to $55-60K per year.

Duties:

• Feed and care of dogs
• Fill corn and protein feeders
• Tractor work - tilling and planting fields
• Landscape work - main house.
• Needs to have basic understanding of livestock care.
• Maintain water troughs for livestock.
• Maintain fences
• Needs basic carpentry skills.
• Ability to maintain ranch equipment - Changing oil - ranch truck and tractor.
• Basic house maintenance.
• Ability to tow trailers.
• Basic understanding of welding.
• The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, self-starter, with the ability to prioritize, and complete tasks independently.

There is also an opportunity for a partner to clean the ranch house at least once per week. Compensation negotiable.

Successful candidate will need to hold a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record. A background check will be required prior to commencement of employment.
