Ranch Hand
Northeastern Nevada family owned ranch ISO self starting ranch hand. This is a 6500 acre ranch with outside grazing. It is located at 6000' elevation with the possibility of extreme weather conditions. The ranch is located 45 miles from the nearest town. A K-8 school with bus service is available. We raise 700 Hereford/Red Angus cattle. We have 700 mother cows and start calving in late March and are substantially done by the end of April. Cattle are handled by ATV and horse. You will need to provide your own horses. Dogs are limited to two and must be spayed/neutered and trained. Duties to include but not limited to the following: all aspects of cattle raising, feeding, calving, checking and treatment of sickness, fence maintenance, flood irrigation, haying, equipment and vehicle maintenance. Basic mechanic and welding skills required. Housing with utilities provided, (3bed/2bth with woodstove and separate garage). Vehicle provided for ranch work.
