Ranch Caretaker needed for quiet family ranch near Dubois, Wyoming, starting July 1, 2022.

The job is generally part-time, best suited for persons who are retired or have another job, but with opportunities to earn more than the basic wage through carpentry, plumbing, or other skills.  Salary depends on how much you want to do, what skills you have.  Minimum required is someone to watch over the property (900+ acres) and do basic upkeep and maintenance for five seasonal cabins with several outbuildings, maintain existing fences, look after a few horses year-round, some cattle in the summer, summer flood irrigation on 11 acres, help open family cabins (no public rentals) in summer, close for winter.  2-bedroom, 1-ba housing provided, with most utilities included.

Prefer someone with construction/carpentry skills, plumbing/electric knowledge, non-smoker, experience with horses, cows, fencing. There are many opportunities to earn more with cabin improvement projects, pasture lease for cows or horses, hay, seasonal cooking and cleaning.

Must be self-starter, someone who notices problems and fixes them without being told, honest and dependable, with good work ethic.  References required.  Ranch is located about 15 minutes SE of Dubois, WY (82513), 2 hours from Jackson Hole, in the foothills of the Wind River Range, on a stream with lakes.  Altitude over 7,000 ft., winters can be long and cold.  Quiet and pristine, outstanding views.
