Harvest Intern - Stags' Leap Winery

Harvest Interns will be exposed to all facets of winery work. This will include (but not be limited to): 
- Assist in receiving and processing fruit, sorting, pressing, etc.
- General sanitation of winery & equipment 
- Making additions to juice, must, & wine
- Performing pump-overs
- Racking juice from tank to tank
- Barrel filling, topping and stirring
- Monitoring fermentations as needed
- Pressing
- Removing pomace from tanks & presses
- Other duties as needed

Successful candidates must:
- Have an understanding of fruit processing and fermentation
- Exhibit great attention to detail
- Work well as a team member
- Be available to work from approximately early August through mid-to-late November
- Be dependable and flexible to work overtime, weekends and holidays
- Forklift skills/certification are a plus, but not necessary
- Able to understand English: written and verbal directions
- Able to perform strenuous physical labor as described above
- Previous experience in cellar/winemaking a plus, but not necessary
- Must be able to provide your own housing, transportation and meals
- Non-U.S. citizens must secure a J-1 Visa
