The Employee Relations Specialist is responsible for the guidance and monitoring of employees on the farm, including orientation for new hires.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate new hire orientation
  • Review farm benefits to new employees
  • Conduct follow-up meetings with new hires to track progress and answer any questions they have
  • Ensure new hire is provided with all the essentials to complete their job duties
  • Ensure training is completed with new hire
  • Ensure training is completed when transfers occur
  • Report issues to the Farm Manager and HR Manager
  • Provide support for farm employees, and report back the Farm HR Manager
  • Participates in the Safety Committee for the Company’s Safety program
  • Keep open communication with Farm Manager, HR Manager and Area supervisors

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • High School or GED required
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • Experience on a dairy farm preferred
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in HR preferred.
  • Bi-lingual Spanish Required
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, reliable mode of transportation.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to sit for extended periods of time; be able to bend, stoop, kneel or crawl; reach grasp and lift up to 25lbs occasionally. Available for regular scheduled travel to remote facilities via automobile or airline.
