Continuing in 2018, Syngenta is conducting a state wide soil pathogen survey in citrus and tree nuts. The survey is part of a program to build awareness with soil pests in CA. The successful candidate will interact with PCA’s, growers and other industry leaders to provide cutting edge solutions to various issues within the state. As an intern, you will have a leading role in this effort, and will be called upon to work with the local Syngenta Agronomy, sales and marketing staff as well as members of the industry. The program is part of an effort to not only maintain but advance our position as an industry leader in production agriculture. 


Critical knowledge:

  • Must be able to read maps and follow verbal or written directions to locations
  • Must have general experience with word processing programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must have general knowledge of typical California agriculture crops are such as Citrus, Tree nuts, Vines and row crops.

General Requirements:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelors or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
  • Must be willing to work remotely with varying degrees of manager input requiring the ability to plan and execute the tasks of the internship on a daily basis without specific daily direction.
